Learning to read in Reception
At Stoneydelph, we are a Read Write Inc. school and phonics lessons are taught daily. We have been lucky enough to subscribe to the home learning videos this year. On Class Dojo, we will send the home learning links of the sounds that we have been learning in class each day. We encourage you to play these videos to your child to accelerate their progress. Any of these videos watched can be recorded in your child’s reading diary (alongside any bedtime stories or library book reads). If your child reads at home 5 times in a week, they will earn themselves a ticket for the Reading Raffle Rollover!
